Fantastic very large apartment with lovely roof terrace and great facilities. Located right in the heart of Balestrate, it was a great base from which to explore the coastline.

a balestrate, ospiti della famiglia Tuzzo, ci siamo trovati veramente bene. L'appartamento era ospitale e ben arredato. Balestrate è un bel paesino, base di partenza per le escursioni a Palermo - Trapani - Erice - Marsala - San Vito, le saline,ecc. La spiaggia non era mai affollata ed abbiamo portato anche il ns/ cagnolino Otto il Bassotto . E poi come dimenticare le cassatelle. Ci ritorneremo....un giorno

We have had time to consider all aspects of our holiday in Sicily since coming back and we are all very pleased the holiday there. Our Italian is very poor but the driver who collected us at Trapani Airport was helpful and took us directly to the apartment where we were met by MariAngela who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. The Apartment was clean, and spacious, and very well equipped. There was also a welcome pack with water fresh fruit, milk and coffee available for use. During our 2 week stay there was fresh fruit available from the garden and a plentiful supply of melons for our use. The original restaurant we were recommended Rosa De Dei venti had an English menu and both the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere brought us back more than once. MariAngela, our helpful hostess, recommended two other restaurants which were also superb in the quality of food and variety of tastes available. The activity of the town was centred in the Town Square with entertainment most evenings, a selection of wonderful cafes and bars and Ice cream parlours. The beach at Balestrate was fine sand and with warm seas. We cannot thank MariAngela enough for her help and guidance during our stay, she was able to answer all our questions either herself or through one of her phone contacts..We are certainly considering returning to Sicily

This is an ideal house for people who enjoy the peace and quiet of the country and yet wants easy access to a town, to beaches or the mountains - all of which are a short drive away. We found some spectacular places to swim such as Zingaro and Scopello. The house is situated in a quiet area, about 10 minutes outside Balestrate where we were able to buy delicious fish and vegetables to barbeque in the evenings. The house was basic but most of our time was spent in the garden where you can sit in the sun or shade, take a dip and enjoy the barbecue in the evenings. The garden, was inconspicuously tended by the owner, who also let us eat the delicious basilico, lettuce and cucumber that he grew! Piero and Anna were very helpful and friendly, as were the owners – everyone went out of their way to be welcoming and offer advice if needed, which was appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.
A Chivers

We are a family of four and stayed a week at the villa and three days at the sea house. The villa was very peaceful and spacious with a beautiful garden and large pool. It was clean and generally well equipped although - if we're being picky - some of the furnishings were a little tired-looking and a couple of the sun loungers were broken. We made use of the car to take a couple of trips to the local supermarkets but otherwise relied on local taxis to get about. Piero and his family live upstairs, but we were hardly aware of them and they certainly did not intrude into our privacy - although they were on hand if needed! We had a very restful stay at the villa making good use of the pool, shady garden and table tennis! Like the villa, the sea house was clean and quite well maintained, although larger groups might struggle with the amount of cooking utensils, crockery or cutlery available. The views from the roof terrace across the bay were beautiful with some wonderful sunsets. One thing to be aware of, is the Why Not Bar is immediately outside the house with live music each night until after midnight. This didn't particularly bother us - we viewed it as free entertainment! - but it might not be the same for everyone. We spent our days on the local sandy serviced beach (about a 20 minute walk) where you can find plenty of bars/restaurants etc. Piero was our point of contact for the holiday. He was extremely helpful from our initial enquiry until our departure. He answered all our questions promptly and did all he could to make sure our first experience of Sicily was a positive one. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the mix of the peaceful villa and the town based sea house worked well to discover a little about this beautiful island. Thank you Piero!

Villa ADELE + Positivie +Quite, safe area +Good location +Stunning view, lots of space +Owner lives in downstairs, Piero always reachable - Negative - One bathroom does not have a shower, may not be suitable for big groups -Only 1 bedroom has A/C - 10 sleeps is almost impossible - One side of the pool is surrounded by trees. So pool is always dirty with dead flies, insects. Good luck with the net! - Additionally, pool is cleaned 2 a week. It means you woke up to a really dirty pool 5 days a week. Overall 7/10

We have spent only 5 nights in Sicily, but it was enough to fall in love. Balestrate is a small village where you can find everything within 10 minutes. People are very friendly and welcoming to tourists even though we had a language barrier they always helped us in any single situation. Apartment was really lovely - fully equipped, clean and nice with the huge terrace towards the wonderful beach. We ate the best pizzas and spaghetti we have ever eat, not to forget tasty red wine! Definitely coming back here again! And Thank You again to Pierro for a very nice stay!
