April 2010 FamilyThanks for a fantastic holiday in Balestrate, Sicily. We loved our split level apartment with roof terrace which was in a very central location in the town, just 5 minutes walk from the beach. Balestrate is a great base for exploring Sicily, and there are so many beautiful places to see. We have made new friends in Piero and Annamaria, who were so helpful in every way. All the restaurants in Balestrate have such fantastic food. Everything is so fresh. The salads, olives, pizza and pasta and seafood are of the highest quality. I think perhaps the best in Italy. Thanks once again, for a fantastic holiday. We will always remember where we were, when UK airspace was closed due 2 the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland! Jon Durrant.

April 2010 CouplesHad a fabulous stay in sicily,in BAlestrate. Pierros mother was incredibly generous and welcoming! The apartment was clean and appropriate to our needs. Balestrate is a beautiful classical piece of the world that everyone should see in their lifetime. The sea is blue, the sand is gold and the cliffs and mountains are spectacular. The food is amazing - prepare to put on some pounds after your stay! Would recommend Pierros apartments to everyone, we felt looked after and very welcome over all both from Pierro and his mum and the friendly folk of Balestrate. Thanks!

Aprile 2010 FamilyWe would like to offer a very big THANK YOU ALL Piero and his wonderful Mum and Annamaria. We were greeted at 11.00pm on a Saturday night with a very big Sicilian welcome and an even bigger meal, both prepared by the lovely Mrs Tuzzo. What a great start!!! As for Sicily, we would highly recommend it as a holiday destination for families and couples alike, it has stacks of history and the scenery is second to none.....Mountains, beaches, crystal clear water lapping the brilliant white sand. We also visited the Zingaro nature reserve and had a pleasant hike in the hills before returning to isolated sandy coves. I would suggest a car whilst staying in Balestrate as we covered about 1200 miles in the two weeks we stayed. All in all a wonderful time full of wonderful people and treasured memories, Thanks again.

June 2010 GroupsWith no doubt, Sicily is the best place that I have ever gone for my vacations. Italian people, especially
Sicilians, were extremely kind and friendly. Although, they didn’t understand our language and we didn’t
understand their language, they always helped us in the best way. Piero’s group, especially Vincenzo, was
really nice, and also the planning was excellent. Our residence was clean, comfort and nice. When we
arrived, they were expecting us with a bowl full of fresh fruits and a bottle of Sicilian wine. With tiniest
problem, with no delay they were there to help us. In total, we felt that we are at home.
I recommend Case del Golfo to all Iranians, who want to go to Sicily. I especially recommend Vincnzo’s
restaurant. This guy has a heart of gold. He is very kind and hospitable. I also recommend eating grilled
fresh fish a lot, as it is one of the best foods in Sicily. You should certainly go at least once to Vincenzo’s
restaurant to enjoy the quality and friendly atmosphere there. Piero is also a smart and nice guy, who you
can enjoy his accompany. (probably you can also enjoy playing football with him!)
You must go diving and boating. The sea there is wonderful. You can ask Piero or Vincenzo to tell you where
the best places are for visiting. This will help you to save lots of time and enjoy your time in the best way.

May 2010 FamilySicily is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we have been to. The scenery is breathtaking. Balestrate is Ideal as a base from which to explore the Island but has the added bonus of being the perfect place to relax. Excursions can be booked in the town itself which is friendly and charming, the local restaurants and cafes are great and the gelato is to die for!
I cannot fault the Case Del Golfo team- Pierro, MariaAngela and AnnaMaria , Sime SalaBim,were so helpful and accomodating, we had everything we needed for our stay and MariaAngela even brought cereal,,milk, drink and biscuits for my children so I did not have to worry about breakfast the next day(as we arrived late). The transfer was waiting as we arrived at the airport and we had a home cooked meal waiting for us! The accomodation was clean and comfortable, I am very hard pressed to find any fault- Pierro even offered the accomodation for longer if our flights happened to be cancelled due to the ash cloud. The local beach is lovely and the people friendly. Sicily has something for everyone, families, couple, friends- anyone! We would definitely go back and the only thing we would change is our length of stay, 1 week was not enough in this beautiful gem of an Island, I recommend at least 2 weeks if you want to see the sights. Thank you so much for a superb holiday, we hope to return!
